The Element BioThane Long Line is where Bolder K9 began. Originally made for fosters and adopters at True North GSD Rescue, this leash was designed with a simple goal: maximum function, zero fluff. It’s a tried-and-true long line built for training, decompression walks, recalls, and muddy Pacific Northwest conditions.

We're dedicated and committed to our craft, as well as our customer service.
You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placement without additional charges, as long as the order has not been made, packaged or shipped. After 24 hours, we do not accept cancellations. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible at info@bolderk9.com.
We do not offer refunds or free replacements for accidental damage such as chewing or wear and tear. We do offer replacements for any defects to materials. We do offer exchanges on our harnesses.

How do I care for my BioThane® gear? +
BioThane® is waterproof, odor-resistant, and easy to maintain. Most dirt wipes off with warm water and mild soap. For heavier messes, soak in diluted oxiclean (unscented), then rinse and dry thoroughly. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to strong DEET-based insect repellents, which may affect the coating over time.
What if my dog chews through an item? +
Our gear is designed for durability, but no product is chew-proof. Damage caused by chewing is not covered under warranty. If something happens unexpectedly, reach out — we’re always happy to review the situation and see what options may be available.
What is considered normal wear and tear? +
Normal wear includes cosmetic signs of use such as minor scuffs, scratches, fading, or coating wear on hardware over time. Black hardware may naturally show silver underneath with regular use — this is expected and cosmetic only. Wear from chewing, misuse, improper storage, or unsafe restraint is not covered.
How much is shipping and how long will my order take? +
Our production time for most orders is 2-3 weeks unless otherwise specified. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 1–5 business days depending on location. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, with free shipping available on orders over $75. Need it sooner? We also offer expedited processing options when available.
How are your products packaged? +
Orders are packaged simply and intentionally to protect your gear while minimizing waste. We focus on practical packaging that gets your order safely to you — nothing excessive.
Do you offer returns or exchanges? +
Because most items are handmade to order, we generally do not accept returns on custom gear. If there is a sizing issue, please contact us — we’ll always do our best to help find a solution. If there is an issue with workmanship or a mistake on our end, we’ll make it right.
Can I cancel my order? +
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After that, production may already be underway and cancellations are no longer guaranteed.
Do you offer wholesale pricing? +

How do I choose the right size? +

Can BioThane® get wet? +
Yes — BioThane® is fully waterproof and made for muddy trails, rainy walks, dock diving, and everyday adventure. It won’t absorb water, hold odor, or stay soggy like traditional materials.

Contact Us →This long line gave me all the added security to give my dog the best time on our recent vacation. My 18-month old golden is about 90% reliable on recall, but not 100% and I did not want to take any chances. It got plenty muddy and wet dragging behind him and still was easy to grip. It got caught up on a few branches and rocks and is well made, so it did not tear or fray like nylon would. Highly recommend this and ANY of the other products, as they’ve all been great!

Love this new longline! I went with orange and olive traffic handle for a little extra. It works perfectly with my lead release from bolder as well. I got the 20 ft long line especially for my foster when I walk him in the woods. 20 ft is a perfect length to give him more freedom to roam and sniff while I can maintain control of him. The red color is beautiful and the quality is top notch! This leash will last a long time. Oh don't forget to also get a mini safety connector in the same matching color so you don't have to worry about a prong falling off and you losing a dog. Highly recommended!

I love it so much! It’s perfect for park visits, training with a little bit more freedom for my puppy, or adding a bit more structure to any time of day. It’s lightweight, easy to clean and I got bright orange so it’s easy for us to see. It’s so nice for when the environment is a little too busy for solid recall or for training some searching / detection stuff and you want a longer lead. You can’t go wrong. I’m growing my Bolder K9 collection and I don’t plan to stop any time soon
This is my second long line and absolutely love them. They are light weight and great quality, as is everything I've recieved from bolder k9. I love that its easy to clean and doesnt get soggy after being drug through wet grass. My girl likes to try and herd birds, so she is not to be trusted off leash. This gives her freedom and me peace of mind.

Leash is great it’s pretty thin which makes it easier to move around with. And the carabiner is super sturdy which I love because of how big my Belgian mix is.
