Originally created for fosters, adopters, and volunteers at True North GSD Rescue, the Element was designed to prioritize strength, reliability, and simplicity above all else.
Crafted from 3/4" Super Heavy BioThane, this leash is tough enough for training, daily walks, and active dogs, without extra bulk or unnecessary features. This is the best leash for reactive dogs and heavy duty scenarios.

You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placement without additional charges, as long as the order has not been made, packaged or shipped. After 24 hours, we do not accept cancellations. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible at info@bolderk9.com.
We do not offer refunds or free replacements for accidental damage such as chewing or wear and tear. We do offer replacements for any defects to materials. We do offer exchanges on our harnesses.

How do I care for my BioThane® gear? +
BioThane® is waterproof, odor-resistant, and easy to maintain. Most dirt wipes off with warm water and mild soap. For heavier messes, soak in diluted oxiclean (unscented), then rinse and dry thoroughly. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to strong DEET-based insect repellents, which may affect the coating over time.
What if my dog chews through an item? +
Our gear is designed for durability, but no product is chew-proof. Damage caused by chewing is not covered under warranty. If something happens unexpectedly, reach out — we’re always happy to review the situation and see what options may be available.
What is considered normal wear and tear? +
Normal wear includes cosmetic signs of use such as minor scuffs, scratches, fading, or coating wear on hardware over time. Black hardware may naturally show silver underneath with regular use — this is expected and cosmetic only. Wear from chewing, misuse, improper storage, or unsafe restraint is not covered.
How much is shipping and how long will my order take? +
Our production time for most orders is 2-3 weeks unless otherwise specified. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 1–5 business days depending on location. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, with free shipping available on orders over $75. Need it sooner? We also offer expedited processing options when available.
How are your products packaged? +
Orders are packaged simply and intentionally to protect your gear while minimizing waste. We focus on practical packaging that gets your order safely to you — nothing excessive.
Do you offer returns or exchanges? +
Because most items are handmade to order, we generally do not accept returns on custom gear. If there is a sizing issue, please contact us — we’ll always do our best to help find a solution. If there is an issue with workmanship or a mistake on our end, we’ll make it right.
Can I cancel my order? +
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After that, production may already be underway and cancellations are no longer guaranteed.
Do you offer wholesale pricing? +

Can BioThane® get wet? +
Yes — BioThane® is fully waterproof and made for muddy trails, rainy walks, dock diving, and everyday adventure. It won’t absorb water, hold odor, or stay soggy like traditional materials.

This leash is gorgeous! I got it in lilac to match my two tone collar from bolder as well. Great quality and the frog clasp is awesome. Traffic handle is a game changer on this leash. My new favorite
Better than expected! So useful & practical and I LOVE biothane. Dog will not break this leash. Clip is well made as well. The loops on the leash & how it's connected to the clip is also with a special screw instead of rivets like traditional leashes. In case I ever need to adjust it or change anything out, its easily done. Also there's a ring on the hand loop, so you can neatly hang the leash up or connect other leashes to it say if you're walking multiple dogs. Or even attach dog & leash to something else.

This leash is awesome! It has the feel of a leather leash but can be dropped in a creek without a worry. It is sturdy and good quality and the traffic loop is a nice addition! Oh and I love the color; it is a nice purple.

Perfect leashes. I ordered Atlas 6 foot, element 4 and 8 feet and long lead. Well made. The feel is comfortable, easy to hold, and the traffic handles give the perfect extra control where needed. Both standard clips and frog are quick, smooth, and secure. My dog is 18 months and I’ve purchases MANY leashes—Bolder will now be my only leash company. Also, top customer service. The owner provided extra courtesies due to a small delay with my order and an upcoming vacation—he made sure I got them on time.

I needed a new 6ft leash for daily walks because the clasp on my old one (not from Bolder K9) was coming open when my dog would shake. I ordered one with the alligator clip and it's nice and secure. The leash itself is also great, thick and easy to hold. Overall, excellent product!

This leash is nice and I like the material. I did get the frog clip leash and it has quickly rubbed the black off of the collar buckle. Just something to keep in mind.

High quality leash that holds up with my St Bernards. I love that they have so many custom hardware options, especially the locking carabiner. I don’t have to worry about it accidentally coming undone when they shake like I do for a traditional clasp. Awesome color selection that matches really well with the color chart posted.
