The 5/8” hands-free leash with traffic handle works perfectly for me. It’s light weight and looks classy in black with carmel brown accents. My long dog walks no longer aggravate my carpal tunnel. And, it’s much easier to take photos.

This is my second leash from Bolder K9, and I keep coming back because the quality and durability are outstanding! My first leash was a 3/4” with wine red as the primary color and magenta as the secondary for my 9‑year‑old Golden. We use it at the beach constantly, and it has held up incredibly well against water, sand, and heavy daily use. I’ve included photos showing how it looks after about six months of consistent wear. The ring between the primary and secondary colors is very convenient and I often clip one end there and the other to her collar when I’m not using her gentle. The hands‑free option also works great.

For my 6‑month‑old black Lab guide dog in training, I chose the 5/8” width (primary color: soft blue; secondary color: royal blue) since it’s lighter and better suited for everyday training sessions. The colors look great in person, though I do wish the website showed actual biothane photos rather than digital swatches to make color selection more accurate. I’ve attached several photos of both leashes in different lighting to better reflect the true colors.

This is the best leash I’ve had for a dog. I take her with me wherever I can and on walks and hikes. This leash is a little bit narrower, but thicker, than the last leash I had but it feels much higher quality. As a larger, taller male, the 10ft version is great for looping around my torso and giving enough length to work with. The color options, customization options, and quality are 10/10.

A fabulous leash! We go on lots of adventures and needed a light weight, easy to clean, and cute leash. It goes through mud, water, grass, and more and is easily wiped off. The colors are so cute and the hands free option is amazing.

The quality of this leash is great — the BioThane feels super durable, easy to clean, and overall very well made. I love the hands-free concept and it looks really nice in person.
That said, I did reach out to customer service before ordering to ask about sizing. I’m 5'1 with a 15 lb Cavapoo, and I was recommended the 8 ft length, but it ended up being too long for me. The leash drags on the ground and it’s not easy to quickly reach the traffic loop, which makes it a bit less practical day-to-day.
I’m currently trying to DIY a way to shorten it, but I do wish customer service had followed up with suggestions on how to adjust it without damaging the leash, especially since returns aren’t accepted.
I’d still recommend it for the quality, but if you’re on the shorter side, definitely consider going with a smaller length.

100/10! This leash is the real deal! I’ve been looking for a tough and smell proof dog leash for my Pit Lab Mix, Bolt. He has broken several other name brand dog leashes through pulling and chewing. I wanted something hands free that could withstand his pulling which lead me here. And man, I’m so glad I found Bolder K9!!! The leash is stylish, while also extremely durable. I am blown away by the quality of this leash! I have been searching for a new leash setup as I have a service dog and wanted something easy to unclip but durable enough for heavy use. This setup is exactly what I was looking for! The customization of colors, lengths, handles, and clasps was a big selling point for me. I love the material and design! It all turned out perfectly, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

The quality of this leash is great! It's strong, sturdy, and works with a young wacky beagle so far. I was disappointed with how the colors turned out though. I wish there was a way to preview what the leash will look like after customizing it. Now I have one that looks like sports team colors. Eh. But I know this is partially my own fault. Shipping was slow, took the full 3 weeks from order date.

So nice I bought it twice! Really though, my husband had to cut the first one so I keep that one in the car & use the other one for walks with the family. It’s perfect & I love having my hands free while I’m walking with my kids! I even strap it to my waist for bike rides. Thank you so much for your quality work!

This leash has been great! I love the ease of taking it on and off, it makes it super easy to switch from a short hands free leash to a longer hand held leash. The length customization option is great, because as a small service dog handler, I want my dog to be comfortable laying down, which is hard because hes so small compared to other dogs. Because it is bio thane, I can have a white leash without worrying about cleaning, because it can just be wiped down quickly!

I love it! I am gifting it but it’s really good material. The only con about it is the length I wish it was a foot longer but it does work!
