The Trailblazer Tug Toy is a sewn, heavy-duty training tug built for dogs with serious drive and handlers who demand durability. Handcrafted in the Pacific Northwest, this tug features an integrated braided BioThane connection at the ball and is triple-stitched with bonded Decron thread—the same industrial thread used in sail repairs.

You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placement without additional charges, as long as the order has not been made, packaged or shipped. After 24 hours, we do not accept cancellations. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible at info@bolderk9.com.
We do not offer refunds or free replacements for accidental damage such as chewing or wear and tear. We do offer replacements for any defects to materials. We do offer exchanges on our harnesses.

How do I care for my BioThane® gear? +
BioThane® is waterproof, odor-resistant, and easy to maintain. Most dirt wipes off with warm water and mild soap. For heavier messes, soak in diluted oxiclean (unscented), then rinse and dry thoroughly. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to strong DEET-based insect repellents, which may affect the coating over time.
What if my dog chews through an item? +
Our gear is designed for durability, but no product is chew-proof. Damage caused by chewing is not covered under warranty. If something happens unexpectedly, reach out — we’re always happy to review the situation and see what options may be available.
What is considered normal wear and tear? +
Normal wear includes cosmetic signs of use such as minor scuffs, scratches, fading, or coating wear on hardware over time. Black hardware may naturally show silver underneath with regular use — this is expected and cosmetic only. Wear from chewing, misuse, improper storage, or unsafe restraint is not covered.
How much is shipping and how long will my order take? +
Our production time for most orders is 2-3 weeks unless otherwise specified. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 1–5 business days depending on location. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, with free shipping available on orders over $75. Need it sooner? We also offer expedited processing options when available.
How are your products packaged? +
Orders are packaged simply and intentionally to protect your gear while minimizing waste. We focus on practical packaging that gets your order safely to you — nothing excessive.
Do you offer returns or exchanges? +
Because most items are handmade to order, we generally do not accept returns on custom gear. If there is a sizing issue, please contact us — we’ll always do our best to help find a solution. If there is an issue with workmanship or a mistake on our end, we’ll make it right.
Can I cancel my order? +
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After that, production may already be underway and cancellations are no longer guaranteed.
Do you offer wholesale pricing? +

Can BioThane® get wet? +
Yes — BioThane® is fully waterproof and made for muddy trails, rainy walks, dock diving, and everyday adventure. It won’t absorb water, hold odor, or stay soggy like traditional materials.

These tugs have been a blast to use for training and transitioning from food to ball drive. Hands down the fastest transition ever; I’m a lifetime customer now. They stay looking brand new, are easy to clean and disinfect and are cute, too. They hold up perfectly with my rambunctious Belgian Tervuren and Malinois’. I’m grabbing a couple glow-in-the-dark tugs, next.

I have bought 2 of these because the first one is on the way out but it is stil holding up well! We have a GSD and this is one of the best toys that has lasted him. We use it as his reward ball for outdoor training and walks. Super happy with both purchases. Love being able to customize it. Came quick and on time. Love that it saves our hands from being bitten, have had trouble with others handles on toys being small not with this one! Love it!

I realized after purchasing this toy that my pure working-line German Shepherd, at 10 months old, tends to be very particular about the toys and play styles she enjoys.
With my own blunder out of the way, I still use this as my daily training carry for her, as she will still chase the tug/bite reward toy when out. With the available options, I chose the Glow with Carmel biothane, which I absolutely love. The Glow is extremely helpful in the evening, allowing me to find and fetch the toy easily when she decides not to bring it back.
The manufacturer uses high-quality materials, and the stitching is solid, reinforcing the knotting loops that secure the ball. Shipping and delivery were also extremely quick after confirming my color choices from other items I ordered. I would absolutely recommend this tug.
