You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placement without additional charges, as long as the order has not been made, packaged or shipped. After 24 hours, we do not accept cancellations. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible at info@bolderk9.com.
We do not offer refunds or free replacements for accidental damage such as chewing or wear and tear. We do offer replacements for any defects to materials. We do offer exchanges on our harnesses.

How do I care for my BioThane® gear? +
BioThane® is waterproof, odor-resistant, and easy to maintain. Most dirt wipes off with warm water and mild soap. For heavier messes, soak in diluted oxiclean (unscented), then rinse and dry thoroughly. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to strong DEET-based insect repellents, which may affect the coating over time.
What if my dog chews through an item? +
Our gear is designed for durability, but no product is chew-proof. Damage caused by chewing is not covered under warranty. If something happens unexpectedly, reach out — we’re always happy to review the situation and see what options may be available.
What is considered normal wear and tear? +
Normal wear includes cosmetic signs of use such as minor scuffs, scratches, fading, or coating wear on hardware over time. Black hardware may naturally show silver underneath with regular use — this is expected and cosmetic only. Wear from chewing, misuse, improper storage, or unsafe restraint is not covered.
How much is shipping and how long will my order take? +
Our production time for most orders is 2-3 weeks unless otherwise specified. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 1–5 business days depending on location. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, with free shipping available on orders over $75. Need it sooner? We also offer expedited processing options when available.
How are your products packaged? +
Orders are packaged simply and intentionally to protect your gear while minimizing waste. We focus on practical packaging that gets your order safely to you — nothing excessive.
Do you offer returns or exchanges? +
Because most items are handmade to order, we generally do not accept returns on custom gear. If there is a sizing issue, please contact us — we’ll always do our best to help find a solution. If there is an issue with workmanship or a mistake on our end, we’ll make it right.
Can I cancel my order? +
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After that, production may already be underway and cancellations are no longer guaranteed.
Do you offer wholesale pricing? +

Can BioThane® get wet? +
Yes — BioThane® is fully waterproof and made for muddy trails, rainy walks, dock diving, and everyday adventure. It won’t absorb water, hold odor, or stay soggy like traditional materials.

Seller had great communication. It's a top quality product (I've had a hands-free leash from Bolder K9 with the same parts for over a year that still looks brand new). I have no doubts about the safety of my dog while walking her on Manhattan streets using this. I love that I can adjust the length depending upon if I have a coat on and switch which leash I'm using depending on the situation.
The belt is high quality and is exactly what I was looking for. I just ordered a second one for my husband. We will use them on our road trip so we can easily transfer the dog from one person to another by unclipping her lease and moving it to the other person’s belt. It has room to add **** bag holders with external clips. Very happy with the product.

Truly excellent product. It’s clearly made from a thicker, higher quality BioThane than most products. I would describe it as much closer to the feel and thickness of genuine leather dog leashes or collars. Other BioThane products I’ve had have been more akin to silicone in texture and stretch. This product in particular is unique among hands-free items for its size offerings (I’m petite so this was pivotal), adjustability, and the durability of the hardware. The carabiner is much more secure than the standard plastic buckle. It’s easy to adjust, but doesn’t slip. The loops for attaching additional accessories are a nice touch. I would 100% recommend this product and plan to purchase from this seller in the future.

I use this hands-free leash/lead as my backup when I am in public. The quality of the manufacturer’s other products is top-notch and works extremely well. My only issue is the fit: as a tall, broad man, the leash has only a few inches to spare around my waist when worn this way. I had intended to use it as a quick cross-body safety lead, but its limited length does not allow it to fit comfortably across my body.
Aside from that, the material is comfortable against my skin during runs with my dog and generally goes unnoticed, unlike some of the other leads/leashes I have used and have since transitioned from.
The manufacturer, when reviewing my order, contacted me promptly about supply issues and color choices and, even with those, had all my product shipped and delivered extremely quickly, which I appreciated.

I’ve been using this as a crossbody adapter for a while now and I love it. I have a lot of regular leashes that I purchased a long time ago before I knew about hands free leashes. This adapter allows me to still make use of these leashes instead of having to buy hands free leashes.
I own several hands free leashes as well, but I have been using this adapter with our regular 10 ft leash and it has been amazing so far.
